About the Opportunity

As a Commercial Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of commercial outcomes that enhance ASC’s value and strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Australia’s most significant naval sustainment programs, our Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) LOTE.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this role will provide commercial support across the CCSM LOTE Program, ensuring compliance with ASC’s contractual obligations under the In-Service Support Contract (ISSC) and LOTE Tasking Statement. Your work will involve drafting and managing contractual documents, supporting the development of quotations and proposals, and engaging with stakeholders across the business to foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.

This Advisor role is a Permanent, full-time opportunity based in Osborne, SA and offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your commercial acumen, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and coordination of estimates, quotations, business cases and reports for delivery to the Commonwealth of Australia.
  • Develop and coordinate assigned ASC’s scope of work to an appropriate quality level within the assigned schedule and budget.
  • Assist with various commercial contracts and matters, including providing advice on understanding and complying with ASC’s contractual obligations.
  • Preparing correspondence and administer the delivery and recording of correspondence for prescribed contracts.
  • Drafting of commercial documents, letters, and associated reports.
  • Create, maintain and manage commercial data as required.
  • Contract management and administration of agreements.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce, business and/or law or relevant equivalent post graduate studies, or equivalent experience, particularly in an advisory role.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial, legal, or business advisory environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage shifting priorities without losing momentum.
  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams and considering the broader impact of your work.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience with contract implementation and interpreting complex estimates.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate complex issues.
  • Resilience and adaptability able to navigate change, reprioritisation, and evolving program needs.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
