About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to manage the financial performance of West Australian-based projects for the CCSM contract. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support project delivery and strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business, providing financial guidance and fostering strong partnerships to ensure compliance and optimal outcomes. This role is based in Henderson WA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver program reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with stakeholders including project managers, cost account managers, and executives to provide financial insights and advice.
  • Manage invoicing, debtor control, and ensure correct application of indexation and foreign exchange in contracts.
  • Conduct monthly forecasting, reconciliations, and review of financial data for accuracy.
  • Support external and customer audits, including annual contract true-ups.
  • Oversee program cash flow management and ensure compliance with ASC guidelines, policies, and accounting standards.
  • Provide authoritative financial advice and drive accountability for overhead and labor budgets to achieve cost efficiency.

About you 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting; CPA, CA, CIMA membership with significant post-membership experience OR part-qualified.
  • Proven experience in financial management, planning, and analysis.
  • Strong communication and advanced interpersonal skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent analytical and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial results and implications to diverse audiences.
  • Sound knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in financial reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and guide commercial decision-making through a business partnering approach.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
