We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering ILS engineering solutions across major sustainment programs, including CCSM In-Service Support, Multi-Class Sustainment, and future naval initiatives.

Reporting to the Program Engineering Manager – Engineering Services, you’ll drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ILS processes, systems, and technical outputs.  Responsibilities

  • Lead the ILS capability across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with engineering and sustainment objectives
  • Establish and manage ILS processes, tools, and systems to support logistic configuration, maintenance, and product baselines
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality ILS outcomes
  • Participate as a member of the Engineering Services Lead Team, contributing to strategic planning and capability development
  • Drive improvements in ILS workflows to reduce historical sustainment engineering workloads
  • Ensure visibility and responsiveness to senior customer representatives and program stakeholders

About You

  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification (Advanced Diploma, Degree, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading ILS or engineering teams within complex project environments such as shipbuilding, defence, or heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of sustainment lifecycles, configuration management, and engineering standards
  • Proven ability to manage technical teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver outcomes in high-visibility environments
  • Skilled in using Computerised Maintenance Management System and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, analysis, and documentation
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
