About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking a highly experienced Project Engineering Manager to support the LOTE FCD (Full Cycle Docking) Pre-Implementation program. The role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and providing extensive oversight of the Rotable Raft fabrication.
This role is Full time Permanent, based from Osborne, South Australia.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6-10 engineers to support the manufacturing and outfitting of the LOTE Rotable Raft
- Provide technical oversight of the Rotable Raft fabrication including supplier quality assurance and resolution of manufacturing issues
- Develop technical procurement specifications for the procurement of legacy cabinets for the Rotable Raft
- Develop work instructions and oversight of support and test equipment design for the Rotable Raft movement, removal and installation, deep frame removal and reinstatement, and diesel aft remove/replace route
- Support and be the design liaison for the outfitting of the Rotable Raft to assist in resolution of design issues and technical issues during the outfitting work
About you
- Bachelor level qualifications in a technical discipline relevant to the management of complex technical projects or relevant equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience of the design lifecycle and through life support of a complex military project in a senior engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and leading a team of engineers
- Demonstrated application of project management techniques on an engineering project in a project engineering role or similar
- A good understanding of the product lifecycle, configuration management, product safety, seaworthiness and engineering governance and assurance
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and to redirect and reprioritise the team’s work scope accordingly
- Evidence of outstanding internal and external stakeholder management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills evident through timely, relevant and accurate delivery of reporting
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
