About the Opportunity

This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The Project Manager – Business Enablement will support the establishment of Australia's SSN-AUKUS submarines by delivering detailed project management and support activities throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and maintain performance baselines; measure work progress, analyse variances, and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate project activities with internal departments and external contractors.
• Conduct Project Risk and Opportunity reviews; manage risk mitigation and opportunity realisation strategies.
• Liaise daily with various functional departments such as Engineering, Quality, Planning, Production, and more.
• Prepare and collate reports; coordinate weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reviews.
• Manage financial aspects of projects as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
• Supervise and manage assigned project team members, including line management responsibilities.
• Mentor and support project team members to advocate best project management practices.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in a commercial, technical or project management discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience using Agile project management framework.
• Demonstrable high-level verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of Scheduling, Earned Value Management, financial, stakeholder, and personnel management.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a complex project environment at a Senior Project Engineer level or equivalent.
• Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills; capable of building strong business relationships.
• Internally motivated, highly resilient, and customer service-oriented.
• Strong leadership and management skills; capable of working as part of and leading a team.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
