ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

About the opportunity

Our Corporate Graduate Program is a unique and exciting early careers pathway dedicated to providing meaningful work, growth and security, while contributing directly to Australia’s national security. Our graduates will receive tailored mentoring and support whilst gaining exposure through rotations across a range of departments prior to settling in a specific area at the end of the Program.

We are seeking Safety Graduates who have recently completed a degree in any of the following disciplines – Occupational Safety, Health and Hygiene, Occupational Health or Psychology.

This is a structured 2-year program which will commence in July 2025. Located in Henderson, Western Australia this program offers outstanding individuals the opportunity to

  • Commence their health and safety career with a leading defence organisation.
  • Be exposed to core functions, including Risk Management, Incident Management, Safety Systems and data analysis, Audit Assurance and Occupational Health.
  • Develop expertise in Safety Management by collaborating across business units to support the Safety Management System and meet regulatory requirements.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
