About the Opportunity

Multiple positions available at a various levels for experienced ILS Technical Officers to join our Engineering Department. In this role, you will provide critical technical support to ensure the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and activities. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining regular ILS product reports and coordinating with various departments to gather necessary data. Additionally, you will be required to liaise with external customers to support the processing of maintenance requests.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking maintenance tasks that require organisation and analysis.
  • The development and upkeep of processes in supporting the development and implementation of ILS products.
  • Be familiar with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Understanding of end-to-end Sustainment lifecycles – including safety, integrated logistics support and maintenance/configuration management
  • Be able to work at competent and system/assembly levels with minimal supervision
  • Acute attention to detail and recognising any shortfalls in products delivered
  • Preparation of technical documentation and maintenance instructions
  • Good knowledge of design, operation, maintenance and the demonstrated ability to work within the engineering standards
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with the potential to lead small teams; and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Time management and ability to prioritise tasks and schedule work as required to meet strict timeframes
  • Sound understanding and some work experience within project management disciplines i.e. integration, scope, schedule, cost and risk and opportunity management
  • Computer literacy with MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Word

About you 

  • Must hold an Advanced trade or an Advanced Diploma qualification in Engineering or a relevant Field
  • Experience working within a complex Projects environment, within maintenance/shipbuilding or heavy industry
  • Acute attention to detail as you check information at competent level
  • Preparation/maintenance of reports using Microsoft office products
  • Knowledge of design, operation, maintenance and the demonstrated ability to work within the engineering standards

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
