ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

  • Facilitate incident investigations and advise on regulatory notifications.
  • Assist with change management and consultation processes for new WHSE frameworks.
  • Represent WHSE in risk, governance, and consultation forums to support strategic outcomes.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS, environmental science, engineering, or a related field (e.g., Diploma WHS).
  • 2–4 years of WHSE experience, including at least 2 years in a senior systems role.
  • Strong understanding of WHS and environmental legislation and standards.
  • Familiarity with high-risk activities and environmental controls.
  • Experience with incident investigation methodologies (e.g., ICAM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and coaching others.
