ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the opportunity

Our Corporate Graduate Program is a unique and exciting early careers pathway dedicated to providing meaningful work, growth and security, while contributing directly to Australia’s national security. Our graduates will receive tailored mentoring and support whilst gaining exposure through rotations across a range of departments prior to settling in a specific area at the end of the Program.

We are seeking Safety and Environmental Graduates who have recently completed a degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or Allied Health.

This is a structured 2-year program which will commence in January 2027. Located in Osborne, South Australia, this program offers outstanding individuals the opportunity to:

  • Kick-start your Safety and Environmental career with a leading defence organisation
  • Help to ensure ASC has the safety systems and culture in place to keep our people safe, both now and into the future
  • Support the existing team to deliver a positive safety culture, systems and governance by identifying hazards and working through solutions
  • Gain hands-on experience across core functions, including Risk Management, Incident Management, Safety Systems, Data Analysis, Audit Assurance and Occupational Health
  • Develop expertise in Safety and Environmental Management by collaborating across business units to support the Safety Management System and meet regulatory requirements

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. 

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
