About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities across an assigned category, including sourcing, purchasing, supplier engagement, purchase order management and contract administration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure goods and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required high-quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Process and manage a high volume of purchase orders and supplier transactions.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and procurement needs.
  • Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and support supplier evaluations to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and support supplier performance activities.
  • Assist with contract administration and supplier correspondence to support business requirements.
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage reporting, spend analysis, and procurement governance initiatives.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Approximately 3 to 4 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience managing high-volume purchasing activities and purchase order administration.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience working with suppliers and supporting sourcing activities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team environment.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
