About the Opportunity 

Reporting to the Project Manager - SSN, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's most significant defence programs by supporting the planning, reporting and performance management of the SSN Sustainment Program. 

Working closely with project managers, planners and key stakeholders, you will play an important role in developing project dashboards, analysing project performance data and supporting project controls activities. Leveraging tools such as Power BI, SharePoint and Primavera P6, you will help provide the insights and reporting that enable effective decision-making across a complex and high-profile program. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports and performance metrics using Power BI, SharePoint and related project management systems.  

  • Support project planning, scheduling and project controls activities, including schedule tracking, reporting and analysis using Primavera P6.  

  • Prepare and coordinate live, weekly, monthly and executive-level project reporting and presentations.  

  • Monitor project performance, milestones, risks and key deliverables, providing accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.  

  • Maintain project documentation, reporting repositories and records in accordance with governance requirements.  

  • Collaborate with project teams and support functions to gather reporting requirements and support project delivery.  

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, data management and project controls processes. 

 

About You 

You are an organised and analytical project professional with around 2-3 years' experience in project coordination, project controls, scheduling or reporting within a complex project environment. 

You have experience working with project schedules, project performance data and reporting systems, with working knowledge of Primavera P6, Power BI and SharePoint. You enjoy working with data, have strong attention to detail and can translate information into meaningful insights that support project decision-making. 

You will also bring: 

  • Experience supporting project reporting, project controls or scheduling activities. 

  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling principles and practices. 

  • Experience using Power BI to develop or maintain dashboards and reports. 

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and document management systems. 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capability. 

  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to quality outcomes. 

 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. 

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
