About the Opportunity

As the Project Coordinator – Operations Capability Delivery, you will play a key role in delivering workforce capability initiatives that strengthen operational performance and readiness. Reporting to the Operations Capability Delivery Manager, you will coordinate training programs, capability uplift projects, recertification activities, and operational readiness initiatives, working closely with leaders and stakeholders to ensure successful, safe, and efficient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the successful delivery of workforce capability, training, recertification and operational readiness initiatives that support business and customer objectives.
  • Support the planning, execution and reporting of key capability projects, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action registers, risks and deliverables to drive project success and operational outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders, trainers, subject matter experts and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and achievement of project goals.
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, preparing high-quality documentation, communications and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare reports, dashboards and presentations that provide clear insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Track project budgets, resources, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying issues and implementing solutions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, training effectiveness, reporting processes and workforce capability outcomes.

About you 

  • Certificate IV in Project Management Practice is desirable, not essential, with demonstrated experience in project coordination, project support or project administration.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, presentations and project documentation.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience working within Defence, Maritime, Manufacturing, Engineering, Training or Capability Development environments will be highly regarded.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
