About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workforce Transformation General Manager to lead one of ASC’s most significant enterprise-wide initiatives. Reporting to the Transformation Office General Manager, you will drive a large-scale, complex program that transforms every part of the employee lifecycle and People & Culture value chain. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, deliver sustainable outcomes, and shape the future workforce of ASC as we scale to meet Australia’s most ambitious defence projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the Workforce Transformation Program aligned to ASC’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and manage program roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Oversee change management activities to ensure adoption and sustainability of transformation outcomes.
  • Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to drive alignment and secure approvals.
  • Monitor and report on program performance, benefits realization, and risk management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program teams, including PMO and enabling function leads.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in transformation delivery practices.

About you 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, HR, or related discipline; Masters desirable.
  • 15+ years’ experience in large-scale program management within complex transformation environments.
  • Proven success delivering enterprise-wide workforce or P&C transformation programs.
  • Strong experience engaging with Boards, Executive Teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and ability to lead through ambiguity.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
