ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a proactive and organised Mentoring Advisor to help deliver and grow ASC's mentoring programs.

Building on the success of our existing graduate mentoring programs, you'll support the expansion of mentoring opportunities across the broader business, helping employees build connections, develop their careers and learn from others' experiences. Working closely with the Mentoring Specialist and Organisational Development team, you'll coordinate the day-to-day delivery of programs, from matching and onboarding through to engagement, communications and ongoing support. You'll also contribute to new pilot initiatives that help embed mentoring as a key development pathway across ASC.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating end-to-end mentoring program activities, including onboarding, matching and participant support.
  • Managing the logistics behind mentoring events, workshops and engagement activities.
  • Supporting mentor and mentee matching using established tools and best-practice principles.
  • Creating and delivering engaging communications, updates and promotional materials.
  • Building and maintaining mentoring resources, guides and SharePoint content.
  • Tracking participation, engagement and program outcomes to support continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the development of training materials and resources that build mentoring capability.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for mentors, mentees and stakeholders across the business.

About You

You're someone who enjoys bringing people together, coordinating moving pieces and creating positive participant experiences.

You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting or managing mentoring, development or talent programs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, coordination and organisational capability.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and provide responsive support.
  • Experience developing communications, resources or training materials.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills and confidence working across digital platforms and collaboration tools.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • The ability to take direction, collaborate closely with mentoring specialist, peers and contribute positively within a highly connected team environment

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Benefits

  • Unique and challenging work with a deeper purpose.
  • Flexibility over how, when and where you work for the best work/life balance.
  • Up to 10 days additional leave every year so you can rest and recharge.
  • Generous parental leave so you can give your family the focus it deserves.
  • Subsidised childcare to ease the financial pressure on your family.

  • Discounts and exclusive offers from leading Australian brands to help you save.
  • Relocation support for you and your family, whether you’re from interstate or overseas.
