About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Administration Assistant to join our Nuclear and Capability department. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, helping to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our team. You will be responsible for coordinating daily functions, managing documentation, and supporting various departmental activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day functions of the area.
  • Prepare and coordinate documentation in support of departmental requirements.
  • Manage data inputs and outputs for departmental purposes.
  • Assist in preparing reports and collating data as required.
  • Coordinate and support travel bookings, expense claims, and invoices.
  • Arrange meetings, coordinate visits, and take minutes when needed.
  • Provide administrative support for all business units as required.
  • Assist in internal communication activities, including announcements, team briefings, events, and feedback tracking.
  • Work constructively and effectively within the team and with ASC stakeholders.
  • Support and contribute to organisational and team-specific change initiatives.
  • Support projects that contribute to departmental and organisational plans.
  • Implement continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Update processes, procedures, and templates to ensure consistency across the department.

About You

  • Experience in providing high-quality support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment with teams in different locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Strongly collaborative with a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with resilience while maintaining service levels and standards.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
