About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join ASC's SSN AUKUS Build Mobilisation Program as the Finance Manager – SSN AUKUS. This leadership role will play a critical part in managing the financial performance of one of Australia's most significant and complex defence programs. Reporting to the Head of Finance - SSN AUKUS, this tole is responsible for ensuring the integrity of program financial information, providing leadership to the program finance team, and trusted financial leadership and advice to a broad range of stakeholders.

Leading a high-performing finance team, you will operate within a dynamic and collaborative environment that values accountability, continuous improvement and strong business partnering. You will work closely with program leadership, customer representatives and cross-functional teams to drive financial governance, support strategic decision-making, and deliver high-quality financial outcomes that contribute to the success of the SSN AUKUS program.

This is a full-time opportunity based in SA.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Program Finance Team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of program financial information, ensuring compliance with contractual, corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of all program finance activities, reporting requirements and governance obligations.
• Manage program revenue recognition, profitability targets and accounting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Drive proactive cash flow management through effective oversight of invoicing processes and customer engagement.
• Partner with Program Management Office (PMO) and key stakeholders to align financial data, reporting and business messaging.
• Lead reconciliation, audit support and financial review activities, ensuring best-practice governance and controls are maintained.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems, policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and performance.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Full professional membership of CPA Australia, CA ANZ or equivalent professional body.
• Demonstrated experience in a finance leadership role with direct people leadership and team development responsibilities.
• Experience working within the defence industry or similarly complex and highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence business decisions through effective financial reporting, analysis and business partnering.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple levels of an organisation and with external customers.
• Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple time horizons.
• Strong problem-solving capability, attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
