About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Advisor to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of impactful training programs across the business. Working closely with the Learning and Development Specialist, this role will help build capability, drive performance, and foster a positive organisational culture through strategic learning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain L&D dashboards and reporting tools to monitor training effectiveness, compliance, and workforce capability trends.
- Present data insights to stakeholders and senior leaders to support strategic workforce planning and decision-making.
- Partner with managers and individuals to provide tailored advice on learning solutions and support the implementation of processes that embed and share learnings across teams and departments.
- Support the L&D Specialists with analysing, designing and implementing ASC internal learning resources ensuring they are engaging, innovative and meet the needs of the business.
- Support the L&D Specialist execution of Learning projects, this includes but is not limited to annual strategies, L&D Interventions, ad hoc requests, compliance solutions, new organisational requirements and MCS and Build initiatives as directed.
- Support the coordination of training delivery in accordance with established training plans and ad hoc requests to ensure ASC workforce receives required just-in-time training. This includes seeking relevant approvals, ensuring training required fits within the training budget, course content reflects the identified training needs and communicating with external training providers to organise amendments to training content to meet business needs where appropriate.
- Support the training needs analyses cycle to identify and priorities departmental and individual training and development needs.
- Collaborate with customers, and L&D specialists to create and deliver practical and relevant Technical Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Evaluate the quality and suitability of training delivery and corresponding assessment tools and practices.
- Provide feedback to external training providers to adjust training content to meet training needs where necessary.
- Align scheduled training activity and delivery with funding sources to minimise expenditure.
- Data and analytics driven, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel and experience using dashboarding tools such as Power BI or similar platforms to support decision-making and performance insights.
About you
- Advance Vocational or Degree Qualification in HR, Learning and Development, Adult Education, or equivalent related work experience and or 5 years of relevant experience in a similar or related role in learning or HR.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualisation.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience in a similar role working across a multi-site multi-disciplined business, ideally with multi-national aspects.
- Previous experience in managing L&D projects from inception to completion and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience working within a regulated framework organisation.
- Proven understanding of contemporary and modern Learning Solutions.
- Experience working with LMS and HRIS platforms, including reporting, data integration, and user experience optimisation.
- Sound understanding of export controls and Information related to learning and development and transfer of knowledge.
- Experienced in handling competing priorities in a complexed multi-disciplined organisation.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
