About the Opportunity

Reporting to the GM Business Establishment, in the Enablement department in the SSN AUKUS Build Program, the Program Manager - Enablement will be accountable for leading programs of work that impact across the Build Program with a particular focus on delivery of key business enablers that support ASC operating as an Industry Participant on the Build Program and in readiness for the establishment of a Joint Venture with BAE Systems.


Responsibilities

  • Lead governance and controls across Enablement projects within the Build Program, ensuring effective oversight of cost, schedule, resources, risks, and interdependencies.
  • Align all Enablement projects with strategic objectives and implement high-level reporting across ASC’s SSN AUKUS Enablement department.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ASC, BAE, and suppliers, to support program delivery.
  • Maintain a strategic view of the Enablement business, considering long-term risks, opportunities, and success factors.
  • Manage a dynamic portfolio of Enablement projects including facilities, digital systems, security, and business architecture.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, managing 5–7 direct reports and driving performance and accountability.
  • Support international engagement, including flexible working hours and potential overseas travel.
  • Adapt to evolving partnership structures and contribute to the maturity of ASC’s collaboration with BAE Systems.


About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business Management, Information Management, or related discipline.
  • Professional project management accreditations such as Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), Certified Practicing Senior Project Manager (CPSPM), or Certified Practicing Project Director (CPPD) or Project Management certifications with Project Management Professional (PMP) or evidence of similar.
  • Five years or more experience in managing complex projects, managing large and complex digital and data programs.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities in complex environments.
  • Expertise in PMO frameworks, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of change management and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or equivalent.


Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1). Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
