About the Opportunity

The Senior Business Analyst role will work within the Transformation team and collaboratively with managers and staff across the entire business. The role will operate in a complex environment of uncertainty and change and will excel at balancing structure, discipline and habits with flexibility, adaptability, and agility to meet strategic needs in a rapidly changing competitive landscape

Responsibilities

  • 5+ years in a Senior Business Analyst role
  • Demonstrated experience leading the identification, and analysis of business requirements and business impacts
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience solving complex business challenges/opportunities
  • Experience working with the Microsoft platform and related applications
  • Experience assisting with the continual development, implementation, and support of products within an enterprise IT environment
  • Experience and understanding of the various business processes, frameworks, and challenges of working within a large organisation
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels to achieve business outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead projects and user testing
  • Proficiency across  Agile project delivery software such as Jira and Confluence, process automation software such as Microsoft Power Automate / Intelligent Business Process Management Software (iBPMS) / Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software, collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, and data visualization software such as PowerBI
  • Technical proficiency is critical, particularly high-level understanding of technical solutions and enterprise architecture and its role in capability development and uplift.

 

About you 

  • Experience in a transformation, change, or project analyst role within a complex organisation
  • Strong process mapping capability, with the ability to translate workflows into clear business requirements
  • Sound data management and data analysis skills
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, discipline, and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Collaborates and builds strong business relationships with strong emotional intelligence and understanding of self and others.
  • Experience supporting governance processes, including reporting for senior leadership or board-level audiences
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Adaptable and comfortable in environments with developing frameworks and ways of working
  • Ability to work, communicate, and resolve conflict effectively in a diverse/multi-disciplined team environment as well as with stakeholders and the wider business
  • Problem solver with the ability to think outside the square and innovate
  • Positive can-do attitude with a strong appetite for continual change/improvement
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, or a related discipline (desired not essential)
  • Certification and/or experience working in an Hybrid/Agile environment

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
