About the Opportunity

The Supply Chain Solutions Specialist provides specialist expertise to support the design, development and continuous improvement of warehousing and logistics capability across the business. Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the role acts as a technical subject matter expert responsible for translating operational requirements, inventory forecasts and business growth plans into scalable warehouse and logistics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development and continuous improvement of warehousing and logistics solutions for the SSN-AUKUS Build Program.
• Translate operational requirements, inventory forecasts and business growth plans into scalable supply chain solutions.
• Assess short, medium and long-term warehouse capacity requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Provide specialist advice across warehouse design, operating models, resource planning, WMS, material handling equipment, automation and logistics infrastructure.
• Support warehouse establishment, facility transitions and operational readiness activities, ensuring new capabilities are effectively implemented and embedded.
• Analyse operational data and engage with stakeholders to develop practical, commercially sound solutions that improve supply chain performance.
• Contribute to the development of warehouse and logistics governance frameworks, operational standards and processes.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities that enhance the safety, efficiency and sustainability of supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and international capability partners to support the establishment and future growth of warehousing and logistics capability

About you

• 5+ years’ experience in complex warehousing, logistics or supply chain environments.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory, procurement, warehousing and logistics.
• Experience in warehouse design, layouts, workflows and storage solutions.
• Experience with ERP and WMS platforms, including implementation or optimisation.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation, material handling equipment (MHE) and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong commercial, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience within Defence, heavy manufacturing, infrastructure, construction or other asset-intensive industries – Desirable but not essential

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
