About the Opportunity

Reporting through to the Workforce Planning Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end development of successive versions of the Workforce Development Plan. You will act as the subject matter expert for the document, supporting governance, stakeholder engagement, content integration, quality assurance and reporting activities.

This role requires someone who can confidently manage complex stakeholder environments, coordinate multiple contributors and produce high-quality strategic documentation within a major defence program setting.

This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the planning, development and delivery of the Workforce Development Plan submissions
  • Managing inputs from multiple authors and stakeholders across the Shipbuilder organisation
  • Maintaining document integrity, consistency, governance and version control
  • Tracking, managing and responding to stakeholder and Commonwealth feedback
  • Supporting briefings, presentations and reporting for senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with intellectual property, commercial and document management requirements
  • Driving quality assurance activities, document controls and submission readiness
  • Supporting integration across workforce planning, capability development and related program deliverables

About you 

You are an organised and proactive professional with strong workforce, HR or strategic planning experience. You thrive in complex environments, build productive stakeholder relationships and have a talent for bringing together diverse inputs into clear, cohesive and impactful outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Business, Project Management, Organisational Development, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in workforce planning, workforce development, human resources strategy, capability planning or complex business planning
  • Strong understanding of workforce functions, workforce strategy and the HR value chain
  • Experience supporting major programs, strategic plans or formal document deliverables in a government, defence, regulated or large project environment
  • Demonstrated project coordination and planning capability, including scheduling, milestone tracking and reporting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coordinate contributors across multiple teams
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills, a true “wordsmith”
  • Experience integrating content from multiple stakeholders into a coherent and audience-focused deliverable
  • Knowledge of document governance, compliance processes, quality assurance and controlled document management

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
