ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Digital Product Adoption and Engagement Partner to help shape how our people experience, adopt, and thrive with digital tools across ASC. You will play a critical role in driving the successful adoption, optimisation, and ongoing enhancement of digital products across the organisation.

Reporting to the Digital Product Manager (Modern Workplace), this role sits within the Modern Workplace Product team in the Digital Business arm of Information Technology. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring digital products deliver meaningful value to end users by championing user‑centred design, engagement, education, and change practices.

This is not a traditional IT support role. It is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and change, working closely with technical teams, business units, and organisational partners to build confidence, capability, and enthusiasm for digital tools.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the Modern Workplace Product team, the Digital Product Adoption and Engagement Partner will be responsible for:

  • Digital Product Adoption:
Lead and support the adoption and optimisation of digital products and platforms, ensuring they meet genuine end‑user needs and deliver measurable organisational value.
  • User Experience Advocacy:
Champion a user‑centric approach by gathering feedback, facilitating workshops and focus groups, and translating user insights into actionable improvements for digital products.
  • Engagement and Education:
Design and deliver engaging adoption activities including workshops, training sessions, communications, and campaigns that build user capability and confidence.
  • Change Management Collaboration:
Work closely with Organisational Change Management (OCM), Learning & Development (L&D), and Organisational Development (OD) teams to co‑design change and learning initiatives grounded in real user experience.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
Build strong partnerships with business units, product owners, and technical teams, acting as a trusted liaison and advocate for end users in digital decision‑making.
  • Measurement and Insights:
Define, track, and analyse adoption, engagement, and user experience metrics to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate value.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in digital adoption, user experience, and workplace productivity, recommending innovative approaches to improve engagement and outcomes.

About you

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of digital product experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for user experience and change.

You will have:

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in digital product management, information technology, business, communications, human‑centred design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting the adoption, optimisation, or implementation of digital products in a complex organisational environment.
  • Strong experience advocating for user experience, including gathering feedback and facilitating user engagement activities.
  • Practical understanding of change management principles, ideally working alongside OCM or similar functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design engaging communications, learning materials, or adoption campaigns.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, or cross‑functional collaboration activities.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting adoption metrics, analytics, and feedback data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make technical concepts accessible to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in large, complex, or regulated environments is desirable.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a Baseline level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
