About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to ensure all ASC facility maintenance tasks are planned, supported and executed in a safe and compliant manner. Utilising ASC corporate maintenance systems and processes, the position is required to ensure all grounds, buildings, building services and infrastructure are maintained and serviceable in support of ASC’s business commitments, including out of hours support as required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintenance Coordination

  • Coordinate planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities across ASC facilities, buildings, services and infrastructure.
  • Schedule maintenance works to minimise disruption to operations and ensure compliance with maintenance requirements.

Contractor and Vendor Management

  • Coordinate contractor attendance, inductions, permits to work and site access requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and manage service agreements to ensure quality, safety and value for money.

Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate asset records within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support lifecycle management activities including inspections, condition assessments and replacement planning.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with WHS, environmental, regulatory and ASC requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations as required.

Projects and Minor Works

  • Coordinate minor facility projects, upgrades and improvement works.
  • Support project planning, contractor engagement and execution activities.

Financial and Administrative Management

  • Raise and manage purchase orders, process invoices and track maintenance expenditure against budgets.
  • Maintain maintenance records and reporting documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with facility users, area owners and internal stakeholders to prioritise maintenance requirements and communicate work schedules.
  • Respond to facility-related issues and coordinate appropriate resolutions.

Technical Coordination

  • Maintain a working knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, fire protection systems, compressed air, water services, electrical infrastructure and building management systems.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of facility service issues.

About you 

  • Knowledge of general engineering and building maintenance.
  • Previous experience with supervision of contactors visiting site.
  • Ability to get hands on when required
  • Knowledge of WHS&E rules and regulations.
  • Ability to use computer-based coordination and communication systems such as Microsoft applications Word, Excel and Outlook .
  • Committed and accountable towards completion of tasks within timeframes and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.
  • Trade or Engineering background desirable.

Essential qualifications 

  • Valid driver’s licence. 
  • White card.  
  • Forklift and EWP preferred but training can be provided. 
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space training preferred but can be provided. 

 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.  To check your eligibility please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
