About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Planning, the Infrastructure Program Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering ASC’s Facilities and Infrastructure Master Program across its South Australia and Western Australia sites. This role is responsible for ensuring infrastructure and facilities projects are executed safely, consistently, on time, and within budget, while directly supporting ASC’s strategic goals and program outcomes.

A key priority is to evolve the Master Program into a mature, best-practice framework by embedding advanced project and program management methodologies, including Earned Value Management, time-phased planning, and integrated financial tracking. 

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and ongoing maintenance of the Facilities and Infrastructure Master Program, ensuring accurate forward planning and prioritising of projects
  • Ensuring budgets are aligned with forecasted workload and identifying escalating funding gaps.
  • Leading team members in delivering program activities, feasibility studies and technical support across ASC sites.
  • Integrating findings from the Critical Infrastructure Assessment studies to refine prioritisation and scheduling.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement to develop and communicate Infrastructure Strategic Plans for SA and WA.
  • Collaborating with Finance and the Cost Controller to centralise and streamline financial tracking and eliminating duplicated datasets.

About you 

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in project management, senior scheduling, planning, or program delivery roles, ideally within the Defence Shipbuilding Sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in program management methodologies, including planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in contracting and managing design and construction works, including feasibility, tendering, and delivery phases.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM), with experience training and mentoring others in their use.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to plan and manage large-scale, complex programs of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
