About the Opportunity
The MTL Blast and Paint oversees the correct scheduling of the production and subcontract tasks within the individual ASC CCSM blast and paint maintenance projects, providing a safe environment, ensuring de-confliction of tasks and adherence to procedures.
Responsibilities
The MTL Blast and Paint will provide both technical and project support to boat teams during planning and execution phases to ensure continuous improvement and consistency across all boat/Project Teams. This role will also help to ensure the lessons learnt from each project are captured and implemented. Some of the duties will include:
Provide solutions to obstacles that present with respect to meeting the schedule, as identified in SOT Stoppages. Following this, the MTL Blast and Paint is to coordinate the development and execution of recovery actions. Provide advice and assistance to Boat Superintendents, Boat IC and MTL’s in understanding and executing higher risk work activities.
This position will provide support, advice and recommendations in training, coaching and mentoring to leaders within the Maintenance Department and both internal and external business improvement opportunities.

Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
