About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager SSN AUKUS and supporting the SSN-AUKUS Supply Chain Management team, you will play a crucial role in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, conducting sourcing activities, and implementing procurement strategies, for the SSN-AUKUS Program to ensure the successful execution of procurement requirements within your delegated authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage procurement and supply chain strategies.
• Negotiate and manage contracts related the SCY, and Build Readiness scope.
• Establish and maintain internal and external relationships to meet program requirements.
• Support the development of mobilisation deliverables and supply chain management plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain activities.
• Ensure compliance with ASC governance requirements and defence procurement policies.
• Coach and support procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

 About you

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant procurement or supply chain role within a related industry.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as business, law, engineering or supply chain (Desirable)
• Proven experience in contract establishment and management, including negotiations and contract law.
• Strong knowledge of applicable laws related to procurement, such as insurance, legal processes, intellectual property, and warranties.
• Experience with major defence contracts in a contractual and commercial capacity.
• Familiarity with the ASDEFCON framework.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt strategies in response to changing market conditions and organisational needs.

Eligibility and Requirements

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
