Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and sourcing plans that minimise risk and deliver best value-for-money outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of materials contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation, administration, supplier performance management, variations, and close‑out.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the end-to-end category and contract lifecycle, including scope development, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Manage key contracts in collaboration with contract owners, ensuring compliance and performance.
  • Drive best practice procurement processes across the organization.
  • Establish benchmarks and performance measures for sourcing activities to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings targets.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, category management, and contract management within a complex environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver sourcing projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contracts law, risk management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems (IFS desirable) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
