About the Opportunity 

The Production Specialist supports the Life of Type Extension (LOTE) implementation planning by developing execution strategies, assessing producibility, and evaluating the production readiness of the LOTE Detail Design. The primary objectives of this role are to provide expert Collins Class Submarine Maintenance (CCSM) build knowledge to the LOTE Detail Design and pre planning for the LOTE FCD execution.

This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA. 

Responsibilities

• Identify key changes and their impact on production processes.
• Attend meetings to discuss the LOTE updates and clarify any technical details.
• Provide feedback on potential production challenges.
• Contribute to the creation of detailed plans outlining steps for integrating the LOTE updates into ASCs systems.
• Contribute to setting timelines and milestones for each phase of the implementation.
• Support the identification and allocation of necessary resources (materials, tools, personnel).
• Participate in and as required organize training sessions for production staff on new procedures and equipment.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments as necessary.

About you 

• Experience within the Collins build program and a clear understanding of the work methods and standards of an acquisition project. 
• Trade qualified or other relevant technical qualification. Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Engineering desirable. 
• Demonstrated competence and experience with work order, coordination and closeout within a project or planning environment. 
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Suite. 
• Strong communication and influencing skills - written, verbal, interpersonal and across multiple levels. 
• High level problem solving and decision-making skills. 
• Ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines within a fast-paced environment. 
• Attention to detail, alignment and accuracy of corporate data and information systems. 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a baseline level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
