About the Opportunity

The Program Readiness & Closeout Manager is a newly established role that oversees the work pack workflow from cradle to grave. This position is responsible for ensuring that safe and efficient systems of work are in place to support the preparation and readiness of work packs for effective execution and timely closeout. The role is responsible for facilitation and coordination of work pack and material readiness, facilities and equipment requirements, and work pack closeout for all ASC managed Maintenance Availabilities (MAs).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the readiness & closeout team with adequately qualified and skilled resources.
  • Consolidate disparate processes to establish and maintain an effective workflow.
  • Ensure governance of the processes across the Program.
  • Provide internal and external reporting on status and KPIs.
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Risk identification and assessment.
  • Coordinate the inputs to the SG-1 delivery process during MA certification.
  • Manage internal and external service providers throughout planning, execution, and closeout to ensure safe and effective working.
  • Regular domestic travel will also be required.

About You

  • Qualifications within Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
  • Experience in the construction, production, or heavy industry sectors, with technical or trade expertise.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Customer focused, service-based work ethic with well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to train team members as required.
  • Defence or Prime contractor experience is desirable.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
