About the Opportunity  

Reporting to the Head of Digital Tools – Governance & Support, based in Osborne SA, your project management experience and knowledge of engineering, product lifecycle management, and enterprise resource management methods and tools will enable you to effectively engage with the business capabilities and ASC technology delivery capabilities to project manage the successful implementation of Digital Tool projects.  Your success in the role will be dependant on your ability to effectively project manage and support governance oversight tasks, provide direct support for Digital Tools project activities, and executing successful change management for governance activities.  This full-time, permanent role will work across ASC SA and WA sites, in a complex and emerging environment where customer service and stakeholder engagement are paramount, and your ability to work independently and collaborate with other teams to deliver successful outcomes is essential. 

Responsibilities  

  • Ensure the delivery of successful planning, execution and closeout of project activities associated with the Digital Tools – Governance and Support
  • Support business improvement and process development activities whilst coaching and mentoring other team members to build ASCs project management capability  
  • Provide liaison and facilitation services as required between business capabilities and internal service providers to ensure the alignment of activities and priorities that support strategic objectives and programs of work 
  • Undertake effective customer and stakeholder engagement for all tasks with the aim to enhance business outcomes and build relationships
  • Collaborate/manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal program outcomes 
  • Effectively manage the risks associated with the delivery of projects in a complex environment
  • Running project meetings, structured in alignment to Department set, to manage schedule, cost and quality, risk and opportunity, and dependencies, including resourcing 
  • Managing development of WBS, data dictionary, cost estimates, schedule, resourcing and risk and opportunity for new business to ensure scope and solution are both fully defined and achievable 

Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis.  

About you   

  • Tertiary degree in a technical discipline relevant to the management of complex technical projects or relevant equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a complex project environment as a Project Manager (or equivalent) 
  • Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), PDM (Product Data Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or ERM (Enterprise Resource Management) methods and tools, such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia, IFS, SAP.
  • Excellent knowledge of project delivery best practices including scheduling, earned value management, risk management, quality management, stakeholder and personnel management as applicable to a complex digital tools project environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and deliver desired business outcomes 
  • Demonstrable high-level verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across the organisation and externally by building and developing relationships 
  • A good understanding of systems engineering, product lifecycle, configuration management, product safety, Defence Seaworthiness principles and engineering governance and assurance, will be highly regarded

Eligibility  

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
