About the Opportunity 

Are you ready to grow your career in project delivery and make a real impact? We’re seeking a proactive and driven Project Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. As Project Administrator, you will provide essential support to our Nuclear Sub-Sustainment Team, working on large scale defence projects whilst contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of our Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) maintenance program. 

 

Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Project Manager (WA), duties include; 

  • Providing project administrative and coordination support across planning (project timelines, schedules and coordination activities between different stakeholders), execution and closeout phases of the projects; 

  • Managing and organising project documentation and information.
  • Preparation of department and project reports and presentations for meetings; such as project progress, milestones and bottlenecks.

  • Coordination of meetings, as well as producing minutes and action reports; 

  • Effectively managing the department wide projects calendar; 

  • Monitor, track and maintain Project Risk Registers; 

  • Maintain department’s filing system;

  • Working between Henderson site and Garden Island base as required. 

 

About you:

  • Willingness and ability to travel between Henderson and Garden Island-HMAS Stirling sites, as required; 

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; 

  • The ability to multitask and work across multiple projects simultaneously; 

  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team; 

 

Desirable: 

  • Defence clearance - Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) (preferable) - this is not mandatory. 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in a Project Administration role. 

 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
