About the Opportunity
As our new Project Engineering Manager – Jigs and Fixtures, you will lead a project ensuring ASC’s critical submarine sustainment jigs and fixtures are fit-for-purpose and compliant with all relevant standards and regulation. You’ll oversee the engineering analysis, certification, cataloguing, and integration of jigs and fixtures into ASC’s asset management systems, ensuring compliance and reliability across CCSM, LOTE, and VCS programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the assessment, and where necessary, remediation of CCSM jigs and fixtures, ensuring compliance to relevant standards, incorporation into ASC’s asset management systems and availability to support submarine maintenance.
  • Develop processes for lifecycle management, maintenance, and storage of ASC’s jigs and fixtures.
  • Integrate new jigs and associated engineering date into asset management and PLM systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to deliver compliant jigs and fixtures in line with submarine maintenance schedule demands
  • Drive improvements in jig and fixture management for efficiency.
  • Ensure governance and reporting compliance.

About you 

  • Engineering qualification (Degree, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent).
  • Experience in project engineering or asset management in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and certification standards.
  • Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with asset tracking systems, PLM tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a focus on improvement.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
