About the Opportunity

We are seeking two experienced Project Managers to join our Transformation Office, delivering a portfolio of strategic initiatives that support critical organisational change.

In this role, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of cross-functional transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to key business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in enabling large-scale transformation programs that contribute to national capability outcomes.

These are full time 24-month fixed term contracts that can be based at our Osborne site in SA or Henderson site in WA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, reporting and closure
  • Drive project governance, PMO processes and reporting across transformation initiatives
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, vendors and partners
  • Oversee vendor and partner performance to ensure delivery aligns with contractual outcomes
  • Develop and manage resource plans to ensure projects are appropriately staffed
  • Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards and governance documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uplift in project delivery practices

About you 

  • Proven experience delivering projects within complex, matrixed organisations
  • Strong background in project management, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working within or alongside a Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes under pressure
  • Experience delivering technology or business transformation initiatives with an understanding of large-scale transformation programs or strategic change initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Trello or similar
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels with the ability to influence, negotiate, engage and motivate diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners
  • Strong capabilities in risk and issue management with an agile, flexible and outcomes-driven mindset
  • Enjoying working on complex projects and delivering sustained business outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Program Management, IT or equivalent experience
  • Experience within Defence or maritime (preferred) or complex engineering environments
  • Strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement and delivering results

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
