About the Opportunity
The Quality Planning Technical Officer is responsible for developing applicable Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for production packages which allocates the appropriate Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) that forms the basis for Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) certification in accordance with the Subsafe manual requirements and SSN to USN requirements.
Quality Planning Technical Officer are also required to audit work packages and OQE upon completion to ensure compliance in accordance with appropriate engineering, quality, SUBSAFE and corporate policies.
The Quality Planning Technical Officer will contribute to ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient work practices that support a ‘right-first-time’ philosophy. A core function of this role will be deck plate quality inspections of work in execution on submarines and other work fronts to ensure work scope compliance and correct completion of work scope and OQE.
The Quality Planning Technical Officer will be required to undertake regular shift work in order to support the achievement of program milestones and quality improvements across the various production work fronts (day and afternoon).
Additionally, the Quality Planning Technical Officer will take part in the assessment of workflows, identification of inefficiencies, and development of solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and support continuous improvement.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
