About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join our Nuclear and Capability (N&C) Business Unit, as we grow ASC capabilities to support both Collins Class and Nuclear Powered Submarine Programs.

As a Risk Management Specialist, you will facilitate enterprise risk management activities within the Nuclear and Capability (N&C) Business Unit to minimise threats and capitalise on opportunities. This role involves supporting the development of operational and strategic risks, conducting risk workshops, and providing business continuity and crisis management support. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for risk management and a desire to contribute to Australia's national security.

 

Responsibilities

· Apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implement risk processes through technical input, planning, and facilitation of workshops.

· Implement continuous improvement of risk practices, including identifying ways to reduce risk and assist in process improvement initiatives.

· Build an effective Risk Coordinators Network across the business, including participation in Risk Academy, training programs, and coaching opportunities.

· Coordinate and facilitate risk activities to capture N&C Risk and Compliance systems information.

· Lead N&C Risk management reporting requirements and coordinate Key Risk Indicator reporting.

· Engage with stakeholders including N&C team members, peers, management, and executives as required.

About You

· Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience in naval construction or asset management/development environment.

· Risk Management certifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience across Enterprise Risk Management and Project Management/Coordination.

· Experience within the Defence Industry.

· Experience in Risk Management, Compliance, and Business Continuity.

· Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Advanced interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships.

· Exceptional communication with excellent time management skills.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. To check your eligibility, please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
