About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity where you will be contributing directly to the sustainment of the Nation’s most complex and strategic defence assets. The Strategic Asset Management Lead is responsible for providing a high quality critical input, based on data analysis and/or academic research, to the senior leadership for a sustainable strategic value generation and decision-making in asset management, with a duly diligent consideration of balancing cost, risk and performance.
This is a full-time opportunity based at either our Osborne site in SA or Henderson site in WA.
Responsibilities
Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, complexities and constraints, and devise and propose suitable solutions in the form of practicable and implementable strategies for asset management.
Reviewing and updating key documents to support the maintaining of ISO 55001 certification.
Consideration of internal and external context, corporate strategies and policies as it relates to Asset Management.
Providing advice and support to enterprise stakeholders in various forums representing the Asset Management function.
About you
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline.
10+ years of engineering industry experience in asset intensive environment with at least 5 years of formal experience in Asset Management.
Experience in defence or commercial maritime industry and / or detailed knowledge of submarine operations, specifically in areas of systems and equipment will be highly preferred.
Demonstrated skills in academic and industrial research. Publications and/or any research outcomes application experience will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving.
Demonstrated experience of complex stakeholders’ management.
Demonstrated experience in strategy and policy management.
Demonstrated experience in achieving positive business and customer focused outcomes
Experience in customer relations and stakeholder management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
