ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Supply Chain Lead to join our SSN AUKUS team in Osborne, SA. This full-time role is pivotal in shaping and delivering the supply chain strategy for the SSN-AUKUS submarine build program.

You’ll lead the development of the supply chain offer, including process design, capability integration, and cost modelling, while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with defence procurement frameworks. You’ll also drive change management initiatives to transition supply chain processes from current to future-state operations, supporting the establishment of the Australian Shipbuilder joint venture between ASC and BAE Systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a complex, multi-national defence program and may require flexibility in working hours and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of the SSN-AUKUS supply chain offer, including process mapping, capability integration, and cost modelling.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to transition supply chain processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across ASC, BAE Systems, government stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Enhance governance and assurance frameworks for the new business entity.
  • Ensure compliance with defence procurement regulations, export controls, and internal governance.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading supply chain transformation or change programs.
  • Strong understanding of defence procurement frameworks, including ASDEFCON.
  • Experience in developing and presenting supply chain offers in complex, regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in joint ventures or multi-organisation partnerships is advantageous.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
