About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Administrator Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Administrator Manager, this role is responsible for a small team of Technical Administrators leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of document control systems and practices across multiple Submarine programs.

The role supports the Technical Administrator Manager in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of documentation. The Technical Administrator Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining document control systems, supporting compliance with Defence and ASC standards, and enabling efficient document workflows across engineering, construction, and assurance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Management of PLM processes through collaboration with the organisation to streamline methods across ISSC, LOTE, AUKUS and any other projects as instructed.
  • Presentation of Basic PLM training.
  • Management of ASC transmittals and transmittal processes in accordance with ASC Policy for IP, Export and classified documentation.
  • Management of incoming IP from suppliers and commonwealth. (VFI, GFI).
  • Reporting of status of DM tasks with projected view for planning.
  • Leadership of team members to encourage development and team growth; and
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager.

 

About you 

  • Certificate or Diploma in Records Management, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in document control or technical records management
  • Experience implementing and managing document control systems in large infrastructure or defence programs
  • Strong understanding of metadata standards, version control, and transmittal protocols
  • Familiarity with Defence documentation standards and security classifications
  • Proficiency in document management platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Defence Security Clearance
  • Experience in leading a team

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
