About the Opportunity

ASC is offering multiple positions at various seniority levels for V&V Engineers or Technical Officers, reporting to the V&V Manager. In these roles, you will be responsible for developing and managing Test Plans, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), Test Procedures, and Test Reports to ensure thorough testing and verification of submarine upgrades and new program requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the design verification, equipment qualification, factory testing, system integration testing, and submarine testing both in harbour and at sea to ensure compliance with program requirements and gather Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for acceptance.

These positions are full-time based in Osborne, South Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Test Plans, VCRM, Test Procedures and Test Reports for submarine upgrades and new programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders for the development of V&V artefacts.
  • Oversee the conduct of verification activities to ensure compliance with program requirements and the collection of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for acceptance.
  • Witness equipment qualification and factory testing at external suppliers and integration and system testing within the shipyard during submarine build.
  • Work collaboratively across programs ensuring a consistent V&V approach, processes and quality is maintained.

About you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Diploma for Technical Officer placements.
  • Understanding and experience of testing and commissioning of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Relevant experience in system engineering, or a related field including requirements definition, verification planning, test execution, analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with various testing methods and tools is essential.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are crucial for identifying and resolving issues during the verification and validation process. 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
