About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Materials Control Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations and staff supervision of the SSN Warehousing and S&TE teams to ensure best for program outcomes (metrics inclusive of but not limited to, financial, operational, labour efficiency & KPI reporting).

 

Based in Henderson, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the development and implementation of specific Warehousing and Logistics policies and processes to ensure the daily efficient operation and control of warehouse, freight and S&TE services. The role will coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholder inputs to determine and mitigate key inter-functional dependencies with the intent to minimise cost and maximise the efficiency of the warehouse & tool store.

 

This role is responsible for effectively and efficiently executing plans to receive, store and issue materials associated with program activities, including the coordination and management of all Warehouse and Distribution.  A degree of flexibility is required in working hours to support the engagement with all partners and may require some travel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations and logistics to meet program objectives.
  • Oversee material control, distribution, and freight coordination, including customs compliance.
  • Ensure safety, governance, and compliance standards are met.
  • Lead and develop a team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor performance and deliver KPI and dashboard reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while maintaining cost and schedule targets.

 

About you 

  • Extensive experience in Warehousing and Logistics management within the functional areas of a comparable supply chain, preferably within a Defence, Manufacturing or related industry.
  • Direct relevant experience in related supply chain disciplines (including inventory management and procurement).
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in a Project Environment where work is constrained by budget and schedule.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Commitment, drive and enthusiasm.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
