About the Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Workforce Planning Manager to join the team at ASC. The Workforce Planning Manager will be responsible for coordinating the development and update of strategic workforce plans across all ASC programs, lead a team of Workforce Planning Data analysts across areas of demand/supply gap analysis, workforce data governance, strategic reporting, workforce & labour market analysis and reporting development.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute workforce planning processes for decision making and governance frameworks within workforce demand, workforce analysis, workforce reporting and metrics and strategic P&C reporting and dashboard development.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination across departments and facilitate collaboration where necessary including through building and maintaining relationships.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Maintaining and enhancing ASC’s Workforce Supply Analysis Tool used in the cyclical workforce review and analysis process. 
  • Identify potential workforce supply risks within the workforce and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide advice to the Workforce Planning Program Leads & business leads.
  • Research external and internal data sources to prepare benchmarks and reporting on relevant trends and leading practices.

 

About you 

To succeed in this role, you will be a highly driven and motivated individual with the ability to think strategically and analytically. You will enjoy engaging with various stakeholders and can link data to people needs.

In addition, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role within a large and complex organisation.
  • Significant workforce planning experience within a complex organisation ideally within an Engineering, Industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated experience developing reporting and data analytics with a workforce planning focus.
  • Knowledge and or prior experience in Defence industry or similar.
  • Ability to work with and where needed, influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of leading strategic planning thinking and developing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present major and complex reports and presentations.
  • High level of resilience, project planning and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams in complex environments.

 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
