About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to oversee the strategic technical management of our Microsoft 365 environment and end user endpoints across all form factors. This individual will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless integration, optimal performance, and security of our enterprise's digital layer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and hold relevant Microsoft certifications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic technical management and administration of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Technical management and support of physical end-user endpoints across all form factors.
  • Implementation and oversight of security protocols utilizing Microsoft Defender.
  • Integration and management of Microsoft Entra for identity and access solutions.
  • Monitoring and incident response using Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Data governance and compliance management using Microsoft Purview.
  • Coordination and collaboration with IT teams to ensure enterprise-wide consistency and efficiency in utilizing Microsoft products.
  • Regularly review and update the cloud strategy to align with organizational goals and technological advancements.
  • Oversee identity and access management in collaboration with the cyber security and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure secure and efficient access control policies across the enterprise.
  • Work closely with the cyber security team to develop and implement identity management strategies that protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure team to integrate identity and access management solutions seamlessly into the existing cloud environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of identity and access management processes to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

 

 

About You: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune.
  • Broad understanding of the broader set of Microsoft products including but not limited to Entra, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, etc.
  • Proven experience in cloud engineering and managing enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as:
    • Enterprise Administrator Expert
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
    • Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Azure Security Engineer Associate           

 

Eligibility:

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
