About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Early Careers Capability Manager, to lead development, planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Early Careers program for the Corporate stream. This role is pivotal in shaping the next generation of professionals within our business, ensuring their successful integration into the workforce and preparing them for future leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Graduate program for the Corporate stream, ensuring alignment with overall Early Career policies and processes.
  • Set clear, actionable goals for graduate cohorts to ensure delivery of agreed objectives.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination across departments, facilitating collaboration and building relationships with key management personnel.
  • Identify potential risks to early careers programs and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support management, tracking, and reporting of budgets to ensure optimized resource allocation.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure understanding of business and departmental strategies and goals.
  • Provide tools for team members to reach their professional goals and encourage accountability.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements to processes within the Graduate Program.

About You

  • Experience in developing, leading, and managing teams, with a strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes (Defence Industry experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking with an analytical approach to evaluating program effectiveness and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment with teams located in alternative locations.
  • Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and resilient, with a passion for talent development.

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
