About the Opportunity

Reporting to the GM Transformation Office, the Head of EPMO & PMO Services leads ASC’s enterprise-wide portfolio management approach, providing the Enterprise Portfolio Committee with insights, prioritisation and performance reporting to support delivery of ASC’s strategic objectives. This 2-year fixed term role also leads the PMO function for enabling functions and transformation, driving governance, consistency, and delivery excellence across programs that underpin ASC’s organisational transformation and strategic capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise portfolio governance frameworks and standards.
  • Provide high-quality insights and recommendations to the Enterprise Portfolio Committee (EPC) to support decision making.
  • Oversee PMO services for enabling functions and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective governance, reporting, and scheduling practices.
  • Align portfolio initiatives to strategic priorities and available resources.
  • Drive improvements in portfolio prioritisation, risk management, and dependency mapping.
  • Partner with Business Units and PMOs to ensure an accurate view of drivers, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Champion data-driven performance tracking using tools such as Power BI and portfolio analytics.
  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing EPMO and PMO teams, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence.
  • Support audit and assurance activities to maintain compliance and governance maturity.

About you 

  • Proven experience leading enterprise portfolio management and program governance within large, complex organisations.
  • Expertise in portfolio prioritisation, risk management, and dependency mapping.
  • Skilled in senior stakeholder influence and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting capability, ideally with Power BI and portfolio tools.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilient and outcomes-focused, comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
