About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Risk Management to join the ASC team. The Head of Risk Management reports into the Deputy Chief Financial & Risk Officer and functionally into the chairperson of the Board’s Business Assurance and Security Committee, and is required to drive a performance-based culture to deliver high quality risk management services within ASC Pty Ltd. The highly complex environment necessitates the building and maintaining of confidence with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, accurate and appropriate risk services.
The position requires the individual to operate with a high degree of autonomy and possess drive and self-motivation. The role requires excellent technical knowledge in the management, risk management, business continuity, insurance and assurance services as well as the ability to drive change within a large, complex organisation.
Responsibilities
As our Head of Risk Management, you will:
· Design, implement and continuously improve appropriate risk management, continuity, compliance and sustainability frameworks and infrastructure to support the ASC corporate strategy and operations.
· Manage ASC’s Business Continuity Crisis Management procedures in accordance with the relevant Standards and Governance Frameworks to support the continuation of ASC’s business.
· Drive a performance-based culture to deliver high quality risk management services.
· Provide specialist, authoritative and consultative advice on complex risk matters and provide a primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders.
· Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, accurate and appropriate risk services.
· Oversee an effective global insurance program to assist in mitigating ongoing and developing risks.
About you
· Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business Administration or Engineering and a professional certification in Risk Management.
· A minimum of ten years Enterprise Risk Management experience.
· Extensive proven experience in Risk Management, Compliance and Business Continuity, and external regulatory reporting requirements.
· Technical knowledge of management, insurance and risk management as well as the ability to drive change within a large, complex organisation.
· Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated experience in leading a multi-disciplined skilled team.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and excellent time management skills.
· Experience within the Defence Industry.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
