About the Opportunity
This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The L&D Lead - STA will lead the design, development, and delivery of learning and development programs aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of the workforce.
Responsibilities
As our L&D Lead – STA you will:
Develop and continuously improve training programs to meet organisational needs.
Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for employees.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure training programs align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
Navigate the complexities of stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and buy-in from diverse groups, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements based on feedback and best practices.
About you
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field.
Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPLP, ATD) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the defence or manufacturing sectors.
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Demonstrated understanding of adult learning methodologies.
Knowledge of defence industry is highly desirable.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
