ASC is Australia’s submarine company. About the Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Information Assurance Lead to join our team in a newly forming, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment. This role is critical in shaping and embedding scalable information governance frameworks that ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and program requirements. You’ll lead a high-performing team and work closely with stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of information governance and assurance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and legislative requirements through proactive audits and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance best practices and resolve complex issues through strategic influence.
  • Oversee the optimisation of information systems and data flows to ensure integrity and accessibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to data and information integrity.
  • Design and deliver training programs to promote awareness and accountability in information management.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Records Management, Compliance, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data and information management, quality controls, or project management.
  • Proven experience managing risk and compliance obligations, ideally within a Defence or similarly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise content management systems and data governance tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and compliance.
  • Passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
