ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the Opportunity 


As an Organisational Development Specialist – Program Design and Development, you’ll be the creative force behind ASC’s OD's learning programs! From leadership and professional development to team capability, you’ll design experiences that are engaging, practical, and backed by evidence. Using digital tools and adult learning principles, you’ll turn ideas into impactful programs that help people grow and succeed. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop learning content, activities, and assessments for programs and workshops. 
  • Create and maintain online learning modules using tools like Articulate 360. 
  • Develop facilitator guides and provide handover to facilitators. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to scope learning objectives. 
  • Apply instructional design models and adult learning theory to all programs. 
  • Maintain and update learning materials and evaluation tools. 
  • Upload online content into the Learning Management System and troubleshoot issues. 

About You 

  • Qualification in Organisational Development, Human Resources or Instructional Design, supported by strong OD experience.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and technology. 
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models. 
  • Skilled in course development software and Learning Management Systems. 
  • Ability to write effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Creative approach to designing impactful learning experiences. 

 

Eligibility 


This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. To check your eligibility please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
