About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team at Henderson WA. The Project Accountant will manage the financial performance of the Sub Sustainment Nuclear program, providing accurate, timely financial performance and project cost information, and financial guidance in support of project delivery and decision making. The focus will be on forecasting and reporting to ensure the program's financial health and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial performance reporting, invoicing, budgeting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant contracts, ASC guidelines, policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including cost account managers, capability managers, project/program managers, and the Executive.
  • Provide specialist, authoritative, and consultative advice on financial matters.
  • Support external and customer audits, including annual contract true-ups.
  • Manage program cash flow and ensure correct application of indexation and forex in relation to contracts.
  • Conduct monthly program forecasting and reconciliations.
  • Support program forecasting and quarterly EAC (forecast) reviews.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting.
  • Full membership (or part qualified) in ASCPA, ICA, CIMA with significant post-membership experience.
  • Experience in financial management and strong Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Excellent communicator with strong time management and advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Level NV1). 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
