ASC is Australia’s submarine company. About the Opportunity

Join ASC in supporting one of Australia’s most significant defence programs – the SSN-AUKUS Build. As a Commercial Administrator, you’ll play a key role in delivering commercial and administrative support across a range of high-profile contracts. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and broader team, you’ll help ensure effective contract administration, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and governance of key commercial contracts including the Mobilisation Deed and Tasking Statements.
  • Assist in drafting commercial documents, letters, reports, and business cases.
  • Manage commercial data and ensure accurate information tracking and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial team and General Manager – Commercial.
  • Coordinate internal approvals for contracts and quotations in line with ASC Board delegations.
  • Maintain and improve commercial processes, policies, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support the preparation of estimates, quotations, and formal correspondence for delivery to the Commonwealth of Australia.

About You

  • Proven experience in contract administration and commercial administrative support within complex project environments.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field - commerce and/or law is desirable, or relevant equivalent experience in a commercial environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial data and reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, and commercial governance procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly driven and motivated to achieve positive business outcomes.
  • High level of skills with Microsoft Office and administrative programs.

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
